We must continue to be open in the face of great opposition. No one is encouraging us to be open and still we must peel away the layers of the heart, Trungpa
The heart is a potent and often under-values resource. When the heart engages tremendous warmth, energy and power can enter our practice. Our minds settle with the pulsing of the heart. In this retreat, anchoring ourselves in foundational meditative practice, we will expand to explore practices to uncover the ‘aliveness’ of the heart.
We will practice ‘un-gripping,’ we train in opening into and through irritation, limiting views, judgements, offences, grief – all of the inner terrain.
The heart has the power to arise, like the morning sun, through periods of darkness or aridness. The power of the heart is limitless.
These practices raise the ‘water-mark’ of our capacity to feel for ourselves others and the environment. This can widen our sense of belonging and greatly affects the way we engage with the world.
